Nancy Pelosi is considered one of the most effective Speakers in the history of the United States. She is a selfless feminist dedicated to equality and a brilliant strategist who works tirelessly to get the job done.
Let’s be honest: without Nancy Pelosi we would not have multiple pieces of major legislation on which the American people have come to rely, including the Affordable Care Act, which expanded health insurance coverage to over 30 million Americans, mandated coverage of pre-existing conditions, and ended gender discrimination in insurance pricing. During her previous tenure as Speaker, Pelosi fought for and accomplished the repeal of Don’t Ask Don’t Tell, a raise of the minimum wage, the largest expansion of college aid in six decades, the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act, and so much more.
