Feminist Majority Supported a NAY Vote
The proposed FY2012 budget introduced by Representative Paul Ryan, drastically changed Medicare and Medicaid making essentially eliminating these critical programs. Ryan’s budget also proposed a repeal of Affordable Health Care Act., decimated family planning funding and other critical programs including the WIC program which provides nutritional assistance for women infants and children Pell Grants, and research funding for NIH while proposing major tax cuts for the wealthy.
The Senate voted not to proceed to bring the Ryan Budget to the floor for a vote.
