Spoke out against the Keystone XL pipeline, which would release damaging fuels into the environment.

Position on Key Issues

If elected, she would be one of only two Congress people with a background in reproductive health. In addition to reproductive rights, Roys is also a passionate advocate of workers' rights and environmental protection.

Although Roys was named a top 10 progressive candidate by Democracy for America, she is behind in the fundraising race in the Democratic primary to fellow state House representative Mark Pocan. The 2nd district has a strong Democratic history. The winner of the August Democratic primary is tantamount to winning this election.

Roys is running for the open seat and faces a contested Democratic primary with several candidates on August 12, 2012.
