Would amend state law to constitution to ban abortions for young women under 18 unless their parents are notified or judicial approval is obtained.

Colorado Amendment 62: Fetal Personhood Amendment

Defeated 71% to 29%

Would amend the state constitution to define “person” as “every human being from the beginning of the biological development of that human being.”

Arizona Proposition 107: Affirmative Action Ban

Passed 59% to 41%

The proposed constitutional amendment would end state Affirmative Action programs and would ban affirmative action for any individual or group on the basis of race, sex, color, ethnicity, or national origin in the operation of public employment, public education, or public contracting.

California Proposition 23: Suspends Implementation of Air Pollution Control Law

Defeated 62% to 38%

Would suspend the Global Warming Act of 2006 until unemployment drops below 5.5% or lower for four consecutive quarters.
